My mom organized our hometown Angel Tree for decades; she collected and distributed anonymous gifts and donations so that every child in the community could have surprises under their tree on Christmas morning. Most of my childhood Christmas memories include us sorting gifts for anonymous drop-offs, and more times than not, we would make a last-minute trip to K-Mart to get any items on the list that hadn't been fulfilled. Mom joined the saints in heaven last year just before the holidays, so this year, I'm taking up her baton so that more kids can feel the love this Christmas.
